Unlocking Divine Healing and Prosperity

Tapping into the Power Within Our Covenant

Our covenant in Christ is a comprehensive, all-inclusive redemption package because sin, sickness, lack and fear were all dealt with at the cross. We understand that the blood of Jesus didn’t just make forgiveness available; rather, it opened the door to complete restoration in every arena—spirit, soul and body for the born-again believer. But, in order to walk in this restoration power, the believer must understand and boldly use their faith to access every redemptive promise therein.

This powerful New Covenant reveals God’s desire to restore humanity back to His original plan of fellowship and blessing. Salvation is all-inclusive—His will includes forgiveness, healing, wholeness, prosperity and liberty in every area of life. The Bible does not separate salvation (i.e. deliverance, preservation, health, soundness, safety, etc.) from healing and provision; it ties them together as one finished work in Christ. As Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV) prophesied about Jesus, "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed." This is a covenant reality!

Healing and provision are not fringe benefits for the believer—they are foundational promises included in the salvation package Jesus purchased through His death, burial, and resurrection. When Jesus gave Himself for us, He provided far more than forgiveness of sins. He secured a complete covenant package that includes delivering power for healing of the body, peace of mind and provision in every arena. These blessings are not optional extras; they are divine rights afforded to every child of God who will believe and tap into this power by faith.

Faith in God’s Word: An Expectation that Moves the Power

Faith is not a worldly hope, mental assent or an emotional feeling. Biblical faith is a “confident expectation” that what God’s Word says will come to pass. Hebrews 11:1 says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for (to expect or confide, trust), the evidence of things not seen." Godly faith is an expectation that allows the power of God to work on the believer’s behalf; faith takes hold of the answer in the unseen realm of the spirit and actively trusts God’s power to move the manifestation into this seen realm.

Faith in God’s Word does not originate in the mind; it comes from the heart. “Faith comes” or you could say “faith rises” when the Word is heard and received, and then the power of God is mixed with that faith in our hearts (Rom. 10:17).  Really, hearing God’s Word for our situation of need and releasing our faith causes an explosion that moves the power of God into our situation! " Hebrews 4:2 (NKJV) says, “For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who hear.”

That’s why time spent in the Word is never wasted. It is where strength is imparted, confidence is built and spiritual authority is recognized.

Faith in the heart must be expressed in order to cause the power to move to our area of need; and, we see that faith is expressed primarily through words. The kingdom of heaven operates on words, and the believer who understands that faith is activated by speaking will be careful only to say faith-filled statements.

Words are not just sounds—they are spiritual vehicles. They carry either life or death, blessing or cursing, fear or faith. Proverbs 18:21 reminds us, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit." Our words set spiritual laws into motion. When we speak and act in with God’s Word, we cooperate with heaven.

Speaking God’s Word of Healing Reveals Who We Are In Christ

Healing is not something we try to achieve—it’s something that is already provided. We are already the healed of the Lord! As believers, we are not begging God for healing; we are enforcing what the Word already declares. Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV) states plainly, "And by His stripes we are healed." This is not future tense—it’s a completed work in Christ.

When symptoms come, we don’t worry or fret—we respond. We lift our voices and speak the Truth of God’s Word: "Thank You, Lord, that by Jesus’ stripes, I was already healed in Christ." We don’t deny the symptoms, but we do deny them the right to remain in our bodies.

Mark 11:23 reinforces this authority: "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.'" Jesus was just using the mountain for an illustration—He was emphasizing using our authority to speak to the symptoms! We speak healing, not because we feel strong, but because the Word says, “…by whose stripes you were healed” (1 Pet. 2:24).

Our Provision: A Covenant Right to Give and Receive Blessings

Just as healing belongs to the believer, so do financial prosperity and all of God’s blessings of provision. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." That promise is not dependent on the economy, a paycheck or any human source. This provision flows from our divine covenant for our own personal supply as well as a blessing to the lives of those around us.

Faith for provision doesn’t just say, "I’ll have more than enough," but also declares, "I am equipped for every good work." As we speak these truths, doors of opportunity begin to open, and divine ideas come because we walk in our rights and privileges in Christ. Yes, we are blessed personally in Christ, but we also have prosperity to fulfill the plan and purposes of God—we fulfill the great commission because we are blessed to be a blessing. We fund the Gospel and take the love of Jesus to a dying world!

A Spirit of Faith Does Not Waver

Faith is not a one-time decision—it’s a lifestyle. James 1:6–7 gives this warning: "But let him ask in faith, with no doubting (AMPC-wavering), for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord." Walking in faith is not wavering or begging God for the answer. No! Faith speaks what it believes in God’s Word and fully expects to see the answer come to pass from the spirit realm into this natural realm!

Faith doesn’t sit quietly in the corner singing “Kum ba ya, my Lord!” And, faith does not vacillate back and forth with worldly hope or mental reasoning. A believer who has a spirit of faith and knows the victory ahead of time, rises up in the face of defeat and defies the symptoms! Faith declares what is already true no matter what it sees or feels in this natural realm.

And while we walk by faith, we also walk in the divine wisdom of God. Faith does not deny practical actions that need to be taken. Faith is led by wisdom and takes steps of obedience. Proverbs 4:7 reminds us, "Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding." Faith and wisdom work together.

Thanksgiving with Joy and Peace in Believing: the Language of Faith

Faith has a voice, and one of its clearest expressions is thanksgiving. Colossians 3:17 instructs us, "And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." Thanking God before manifestation is not foolish—it’s faith.

And of course, thanksgiving only works when the believer gives thanks with a joyful voice of expression. We see in Isaiah 12:3, “Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.” So, joy is the dip stick that shows if our faith tank is full or empty—we are fully excited because faith doesn’t flow by complaining and being depressed! Like my husband says, “If we complain—we remain!”

Gratitude, with expressions of joyful faith, helps to shift our focus from lack to provision, from symptoms to healing, and from condemnation to confidence. When we are grateful and happy, we keep our eyes on the Lord’s provision rather than the circumstances that try to stop the blessings of our covenant.

Romans 15:13 (NKJV)

13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Faith Speaks in Line with Our In Christ Realities

As believers, we don’t just study the Word, but we live out who we are in Christ. We identify areas of our specific needs, find Scriptures that address those areas, and let those Scriptures take root in our hearts. Then, we believe we receive with the hand of faith and speak what we believe with authority.

Our words are not to be casual—they are to be spoken with a spirit of boldness that is always expecting. We are not trying to move God because He has already made His move! God has already provided all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Through our words of faith, we are moving ourselves into what has already been provided in Christ.

When the pressure is on, when symptoms linger, when provision seems delayed—that is not the time to be quiet. That is the time to speak louder. A bold faith keeps on speaking what it believes in the midst of any hardships that try to stand in our way. Nothing can stop this mighty moving force of faith—NOTHING!

Let the Word of God dwell richly in your heart and flow boldly from your mouth. Let your words and conversation be rooted in the truth of God’s Word—ever filled with thanksgiving, joy and faith’s expectation. Because the power of God is activated and moved by our words of faith—the blessings of our covenant flow by a mouth with a spirit of faith!

The blessings of healing and provision are part of the covenant—part of the inheritance, secured by the blood of Jesus and received by faith.

So, let’s take what belongs to us. Let’s get a reality of who we are, what we have and what we can do in Christ. Praise the Lord! Let’s speak boldly. Let’s walk in what has already been purchased by the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. The victory is not a hope that is put off in the future—it’s what we already possess in Him.
